Dance Class

Today was Allison's first day of dance class. I hadn't prepared her TOO much ahead of time other than she was going to take dance class, that it was supposed to be ballet, that we had bought a pair of used pink ballet shoes at a garage sale, etc. I did tell her today that mommies were allowed to stay with the kids today, that I could just drop her off, and then come back and pick her up. She was okay with that, but I could actually tell she was digesting that information. I told her her two friends, Rhett and Rook, were going to be there, which she was very happy about; she likes the boys. But she looked at me and said, "Oh, mommy, they are not. It's only for girls!" I said that no girls AND boys could take dance class. I reminded her that since mommy couldn't be there to watch her, that i wanted to make sure that she remembered what she did so she could show me afterwards (usually when I ask her about something she "can't remember."). It was very cute; she showed me several really cute little moves that she did. She said they played "Follow the Leader," and "I was kinda nervous when I was the leader." Yeah, right! LOL

Here are a couple more pictures of some things I've made recently.

This is a Halloween recipe card for the recipe swap group I'm on. The theme is witches, ghosts, or bats. I used the Paper Dolls Dress Up cartridge. The recipe is on the tag that just slides behind the doll and the tree. I've shown two pictures of the card to show how the recipe tag slides in.

Then this is the card i made for the mystery handmade card swap on another group. The mystery item this time was the embroidery floss. I was trying to figure out something different to do with it, and just wrapped it around a large "F" that i cut out using Base Camp cartridge on the Cricut.
