May Day

Yesterday was "officially" May Day, May 1st.  Can't say that I was really very creative or motivated to do anything special.  In fact, because I didn't sleep well overnight, I actually slept in late in the morning. I very rarely get to do that so that was really kinda nice.

Bruce and Allison went to the 'grand opening' of the railbed trail walk that was 'officially' opened yesterday at noon.  To get to it, you have to walk just north of our house, so I guess there were a lot of folks headed down there so they went too.  They report a very nice time.

Then last evening, we went to 5:30 mass at the Catholic church here in town, as we had been invited for my friend Audrey's baby son's Michael baptism.  This is Allison's friend Carolyn's baby brother.  We were then invited over to their house for a barbecue with family and other friends following.  We had a very nice time.  I got a picture or two, and will have to see if they turned out to post something.

Tonight Allison and I have been invited to the mother-daughter salad supper at our church.  It starts pretty soon, so I suppose we should get going soon....:)
