"Lost in Fun"

Today was Allison's school field trip.  I decided that I wouldn't go along with the class this year. I went last year, and we had gone to the Manhattan Zoo and the Insect Zoo at K-State.  Since there were a lot of new kids this year, which meant a lot of first time parents, etc., going, I just figured that it didn't necessarily need to be one parent to each one student.  :)   Then the other day we got a note home that said they had decided to change field trip destinations due to the inclement weather forecast for today.  We've been having quite a bit of rain and cool weather the past few days, and that would not combine well with the zoo.  So, they decided to go to "Lost in Fun" in Lincoln.   Allison and I had actually gone here back the first of the year with our friends Carrie and her son Clayton.  It is an indoor play facility. It is a lot of fun.  However, going with 20 or so preschoolers is not necessarily high on my list :).  Oh, it would have been fine, and it would have been fun, and probably easy enough, but I'm such a worry wort I would have been a mess.  I like the place, but it just didn't have a lot of injury protection on the floor, in my opinion.

When Allison came home this afternoon.  she did report that she had a 'great' time...so I'm really glad to hear that.  The (somewhat negative) report was that "the boys threw rocks at us, but we didn't, mom" after giving her the "be good" lecture this morning before school.
