I need to post some new pictures. On Wednesday, Allison and I and three of her friends and their moms went to Topeka to see Elmo and the gang in Sesame Street Live. We had been before, right after Allison had turned one year old they were in Topeka. That time it was at the Expocenter, and we were pretty far away. This time it was at the Topeka Performing Arts Center, and it was a very nice venue. While our seats were fairly close to the back row, we were about 10-12 rows up, but we were in the center, and had a really good view. A couple of the actors would come down the stairs and dance in the space in front of the front row, and Allison really wanted to go down there, but we had good seats regardless. I haven't gotten the pictures from the camera yet, but I realized nonetheless that we didn't get a picture of the kids altogether at the show. What was that all about?
Today I just needed to get out of town. Yes, I know....I just went to Topeka on Wednesday, but we didn't go anyplace except the show and McDonalds. I wanted to go to Target, etc. So, Allison and I went to Manhattan. We went to Target, Joann's, and I wanted some special cardstock so we stopped at Staples, but they didn't have it. Neither did Hobby Lobby. I bought the last ream I had in Kansas City at OfficeMax or Office Depot, but Staples didn't have it, and Manhattan doesn't have one of the other ones. I tried to stop by the local office supply store here in town when we returned at about 3:15 (not expecting them to have it either of course, but i will try), and there is a sign on the door, "Sorry we missed you, be back in 30 minutes". What time will 30 minutes be!?!?!?! I realize if you are in a store by yourself, that sometimes you have to leave to run to the post office or something probably, but it does make it hard for shoppers.....
I don't have a lot planned for this weekend. Tomorrow afternoon is filled with high school football for Bruce; Marysville is playing as is one of the small area schools, and then of course KState and KU also. Sunday is Sunday School, of course. That's about it. Oh, maybe a pancake supper Sunday night if I play my cards right!
