It's Friday.....I think

I haven't had any time to scrapbook or papercraft yet today. Allison hasn't gone to bed yet. :) Bruce went to Glen Elder today to visit the radio stations there, then he had to be in Hanover this evening for a meeting for his Low German group. I think he was looking forward to getting out of town, if just for a day. The driving is a bore, and it is terribly humid and hot here today, but we don't get out of town too often. Allison and I could have gone with him today, but it was really just a trip there and a trip back, and plus since he had that other meeting on the way home, it just didn't seem to be something we needed to do.

So, instead, Allison and I made our Friday trip to the public library to get new books. Allison enjoys playing on their public computer for children; today she played the RugRats game and the Jay Jay the Jet Plane game. The sound wasn't working today, so she didn't stay as long as she usually does (thank goodness! :) We went to a garage sale. She asked to have pizza for lunch, so we did...we went to Pizza Hut and had their buffet. They were so busy though it wasn't too enjoyable, but it was okay. Then a trip to WalMart and a drive downtown to see if there were any sidewalk sales of interest (there really wasn't). We came home mid-afternoon; i tried to get allison to take a nap, but she fought it unfortunately. I gave into some quiet time on mommy and daddy's bed watching Bob the Builder movie (her new favorite). Otherwise, we haven't done much of anything else now the rest of the day. I have Bedknobs and Broomsticks on the television right now; i think it's on TCM. I remember seeing it when I was a kid. Allison enjoyed the animated part, but when it turns to live person she loses interest. We went to see Space Chimps the other night. For sure not the best kids' movie i've seen, it was okay. She sat pretty good in it.

On the note of Bob the Builder; it is so funny. It is her new favorite. The public library has three VHS tapes, and they allow two movies to be checked out at a time. So, one week she will check out two of the three Bob videos, bring them back the next week and check out the other one, bring that back the next week and check out the first two again, and on, and on, and on, and on.....LOL

We are supposed to go to some type of family reunion 'doings' this weekend for a branch of the family tree on Bruce's side. It's local here so we won't have to travel. I'm hoping Bruce watches allison or takes her some place tomorrow so i can do a little scrapbooking. :)

On the note of my DH, when I came home from the swimming pool last night with Allison, Bruce had the dishwasher unloaded, the dirty dishes loaded, and the living room toys picked up!!! It was WONDERFUL!!!! I don't find that too often, so it was a wonderful surprise!!! :)
