Try to Bring You Up-to-Date in June

Here it is, the last day of June, and haven't posted anything for almost half of the month. There's a part of me that feels that we haven't done that much to report on, but then on the other hand it seems that it has been so busy that is why I haven't had much time to post. So, which is it?

As the month of June draws to a close, let's try to catch up:

1. We have our last night of Allison's Blastball tomorrow night...it will be week 5. She is a pretty good little ball player, although it seems as the season progresses, she tries more and more to KILL the ball. If she just relaxes and takes her time, she can hit the ball really pretty well and pretty far. Unfortunately, she tries too hard sometimes, and knocks the tee over.

2. Allison just returned home yesterday from spending about four days with her Grandma Joyce. She went to a couple of days of Vacation Bible School down there, and stayed and sang in church on Sunday.

3. The week before last she went to the VBS at the Methodist Church here in Marysville. She had a fabulous time. They have close to 100 children who attend, make fabulous crafts, do great songs and dancing, and have a tee-shirt they wear all week. She had a wonderful time at her "new school."

4. I have been tutoring quite a bit in June. I have a couple of kids who are very good at attending regularly, and some others that are fair, and yet another two that I have only seen once, and have cancelled regularly the day before we are to meet. Thus the full, full schedules of summer I suppose.

5. Allison has been going to a youth yoga at the fitness center here in town on Wednesday afternoons, and has also been attending library program on Tuesday mornings. Yoga runs into the second week of August, but library ends in another two weeks.

6. We have started going to the swimming pool more regularly lately although i have not been brave enough yet to put my body in a suit here in town, but I may try it today, who knows. Allison is chomping at the bit to be able to go into the "big pool," as we've been staying in the kiddie pool. She LOVES LovES LOVES the big slide and wants to go on it really really badly.
