Lamb or LIon?

Well, March 1 was last week, and the old adage says, "in like a lamb, out like a lion" or vice versa, meaning lamb = nice weather, and lion = bad weather. So, actually, the weather was pretty nice last week, things were starting to dry out, and we even saw the sun peek through every now and again. So,...we'll have to see if March leaves like a lion...hope not, or that it is at least just a little bitty baby lion...

We do have 100% chance of rain sometime this week. That seems pretty sure about things to me, huh? It is just sorta overcast today, but it rained pretty good last night on the way to Seneca to Allison's tumbling class. The highway is a two-lane state highway, and is not bad, but I had to follow a cement truck almost the entire way over. That was 'fun'.....

It is National Lutheran Schools Week this week. Allison's school has different activities planned for the entire week, which started out with a soup dinner put on by the Parent Teacher League on Sunday. Since Allison just goes two mornings a week, she doesn't get the full gist of the participation, but they try. One of the things they do is "Secret Pals"...the preschoolers just do it amongst themselves. They have a $1.00 limit. They bring a gift today and Thursday, and then on Thursday they find out who their Secret Pal is. Allison got her pal a cute little stuffed pink bunny from the Dollar Spot at Target, and then a little bucket of sidewalk chalk at Wal-Mart. Today she got two Reese's candy bars. I told her that she would have to fight her daddy for them because they are his favorite, and she has this long sad face, and says, "He can have 'em, I don't like 'em." Uh oh.... But that's all she said so I'm glad she's being 'big' about it....

State Basketball is this week so just a couple more days until Bruce is home again in the evenings. We are looking forward to that, and he really is. The only downside....now he will wander around the house and say "I'm bored" until the weather gets nicer and he can get outside and mow and stuff. :)
