Not too much?

Well, I haven't posted for a long time obviously. People probably stop by (hopefully) and say, "Huh, why hasn't she posted anything?".."What a dud she is!" It's been a 'strange' month. It doesn't seem like too much has gone on really, and yet we've been busy I suppose.

When Vacation Bible School got over, I was glad to have it be over. It was a very successful week, and we had a really good turn out etc, but it was just good to get through it etc. Well, lo and behold, the week following, I came down with a cold that KICKED MY BUTT! I really felt awful for a couple of days. It was just this week that I really feel that I started feeling better, and had even an inkling of energy to do anything. Then after having unseasonably nice cool July, August turned into being pretty hot. Who feels like doing much in 100 degree weather with full humidity?

This past week has been a playing catch up week. I had the last of my tutoring I guess (except for the two 'regulars'). We went shopping for some school supplies, etc.

I did have lunch in Topeka on Monday and met up with some friends that I worked with in Topeka at Family Service and Guidance Center. We figured it out and it had been like 16 years since I had seen these ladies. It was so nice to catch up with them again. I caught up with one of them on Facebook, and that is how we made the connection. Allison spent a few hours with my mom while I was in Topeka.

This week we return to our 'normal' schedule hopefully. Allison has her first day of dance class on Tuesday, and then school starts on Thursday. Tomorrow evening we have a back-to-school potluck, association meeting, and open house at the school. Allison's teacher has a scavenger hunt for the preschoolers and kindergarteners so that is going to be fun. I have to think of something to take to the potluck.

Then fall sports begin and we lose Bruce to football broadcasting and then basketball, of course.
