The summer seemed to take forever to get done...the "summer" between the end of school and the beginning of school at least. I suppose we actually still have about another month of official summer left don't we?
We've had a gorgeous July and August; with just a few really stinky hot days, the weather has been unseasonably wet and cool overall. Yesterday and today have returned to hot and sticky, loads of humidity today, but rain is forecasted now the next couple of days from what I understand.
Allison had her second day of preschool today. I stayed and volunteered again today. It's a nice little class. There were supposed to be 12 kids, but one little girl has not shown up and the schoo hasn't been able to get into contact with her family so I guess there will only be 11 - 4 3 year olds and 7 4-year olds; there are 8 four-year old boys in the afternoon preschool class. Their first day was today.
Today was also dance class here in Marysville, and last evening was Allison's first tumbling class at Seneca. I was able to stay and observe last night, but that's it...from here on out moms and dads have to leave the classroom during instruction. I can certainly understand why. Allison was fine, but it's easy for the little ones to be distracted. Allison's friend, Carolyn, is taking tumbling too, so her mom and I will take turns driving over there and taking the girls on Monday night. That will be nice. She is expecting a baby the first part of October, so we are working out the schedule yet. :)
We need to clean house tomorrow morning...really really bad. The cats have been excessively shedding it seems>....I always tease that I could build another cat with the fur that I sweep from the wood floor and steps somtimes.
