My New Camera!

We bought a really nice Sony camera back in 2003 right before we were getting ready to go to Germany. At that point I was scared to death of memory cards, or how to get digital pictures from one place to another, etc. So, we bought a camera that recorded on mini disks. I love that camera. On the downside, it's bulky, and takes awhile to record on the diskette. Plus, at this point, it is getting harder and harder to find the mini diskettes, believe it or not. Add to this the fact that recently, when I try to finalize the diskettes to make them available to upload to processing or view off of a computer, etc., they have been "erroring' out. Not good... It's something that I never really know when it's going to happen, and then I lose the pictures. Again, not good...double not good....and very frustrating.

So, I asked Cupid for a new camera for Valentine's Day :0) I got the okay to get something and Wolfe's Camera shop down in Topeka had a pretty good sale going on. www.wolfes.com After inquiring with friends, having some jealousy issues with how cool their cameras are, reading Consumer Reports and the Consumer Reports Buyers' Guide, we decided to order this little beauty. It's a subcompact camera that fits nicely in my purse (even with the cute little bag I picked up at Walmart). It is a 10dci and it records pretty quickly to allow quicker picture taking. I haven't had any photos processed yet, but it looks like there should be pretty good quality. I need to work on lighting/flash, etc. There were only a couple of different styles available at Wolfe's, yellow and green. I wasn't sure if the green would look too gawdy, but I really like it. It's a really neat color. I'm excited to start taking pictures again! :)
